ST. PLACIDO KAMWOSOR PARISH
St. Placido Kamwosor Parish is located on the highland in the southern part of Keiyo district, 60 kilometres away from Eldoret and was an outstation of Mokwa parish.
It was established on 1st October 1998 and Father Reinhard Bottner became the first parish priest. He officially opened the church with Holy Mass on 4th October 1998.
It lies on gentle slopes with both natural and exotic trees that cover the area. The temperatures vary from cold to warm. The parish has 5 primary schools, 2 secondary schools and 1 government health centre. St. Placido Kamwosor parish was handed over to the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret in 2011. Until our 2022 Golden Jubilee, the parish had grown to 13 outstations and over 60 small Christian communities.
