On 2nd January 2024, our dear Brother Basil (Eric) Barasa OSB, was ordained a deacon on the occasion of his this year’s feast day in the church of Uznach Abbey, Switzerland. The ordination Mass started at exactly 10:00 hours CET. The ordination was conferred by His Lordship, Rt. Rev. +Marian Eleganti OSB, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Chur and the former abbot of Uznach.

Deacon Basil is currently finishing his studies in theology at Sant’Anselmo and soon he will take up his appointment at the Congregation House in St. Ottilien as the Congregation Secretary. We wish him the very best.
